It was a group dinner but the steak was pretty tough. The appetizers were very good though!

Had the Branzino Special and the Prime Sirloin Steak (bone-in) and they were awesome and the service was great. Will definitely be back.

Stopped in for dinner lastnight. Atmosphere was relaxed and clean but service wasn't great ordered 2 ribeye at medium and we received it well done/over cooked ! it was CHARRED ..when brought to server attention he told us thats the way they do it because of the broiler thats a load of BS if you ask me.

The food was so-so (how hard is it to cook steak). The wait staff was attentive and gave us very kind, good service.The Manager, Maitre d' was rude and inhospitable. He told me I was not dressed properly with a T-shirt and shorts as he begrudgingly led me to my family and friends.The temperature was 98 degrees outside, real feel was 105 degrees.My table mate was told dress is "casual". My table mate was wearing shorts and a polo shirt and I counted at least 6 other customers wearing T-shirts in the dining room other than myself.Perhaps to the Manager I looked, different, strange. Maybe to him I appeared to be a vagrant, homeless person.The Manager, Captain Maitre d', (probably owner), ruined the evening for me.I definitely regret driving from Manhattan in rush hour traffic and feeling so unwelcome and insulted at The Sparkill Steakhouse.Never again will I set foot in that establishment.

Even as a pescatarian you will enjoy the upscale vibs here with an ever vigilant staff. My carnivorous friends enjoy this menu choice. Pricey but worth the culinary investment.

I had high hopes for this restaurant considering all the reviews. We were there for an early dinner and were seated where there were no other diners yet. My first impression were long hairs that were hanging off the chair next to us. Not a deal breaker and it happens. The cocktails were very strong and the liquor was not the one I ordered. The meal was bland and the asparagus, although cooked properly had zero seasoning (no salt, no pepper, nothing). My salad was overdressed with oil (just oil, no vinegar or any other seasoning). The server was pleasant and attentive until another table arrived next to us and then we had to wait almost 20 minutes just to get final service. Perhaps it was an off night, but very disappointing. We won't be going there again.

This place provides wonderful service and enjoyable meals. One of my favourite spots ever. The drinks and food served quickly and the prices are economical. I recommend this place.

We always have a phenomenal time at Sparkill Steakhouse. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and attentive. The food though, it beyond amazing. My petite filet was perfectly cooked, and I am still thinking about the crust they got on there. The lobster bisque was delicious. The sides are all terrific, as are the desserts - though the best is the homemade slog. Wish I could afford to come here every week but they really make the special occasions special.Thanks for a wonderful Father's Day dinner.

Everything was excellent from the beginning to the end, appetizers, salads,steaks, lamb chops and salmon and tuna. Wine list and service was great, we used to go the Spark's steakhouse in NYC, this is much batter, can't wait to go back again.!!!

Now this is a great local steakhouse.  Elegant atmosphere as you walk in.  We went to the bar first and didn’t know what I wanted but the bartender made me a rum and passionfruit drink that hit the spot.  We were seated in the main dining room and the waiters were very attentive.  My salad was the chopped bacon tomato salad, never had this before but it was out of sight!  Her Caesar salad was so big it looked like an entree.  Ordered the 35-day dry aged prime porterhouse for two.  That was a lot of food for two people but it tasted incredible! Some of the best steak I ever had.  Our sides of onion rings and cottage fries were falling off the plate there was so much, when they say family style they mean it.   My dessert was the mixed berry Romanoff, it was exceptional with the Grand Marnier and vanilla ice cream.  A bit pricey but worth it.  This is a special occasion place but I will be here more often.

We visited for restaurant week and were very pleased with the experience. Both the steak and fish meals were terrific. We enjoyed a leisurely evening visiting with our friends. The service was attentive but we never felt like they were rushing us. We were concerned when they seated a very large group and a couple of families with young children, but the acoustics of the room kept the noise level low. We'll definitely be back.

Keens in NYC set the bar high for us when it comes to steakhouses. There is something about the way they season the meats with kosher salt after it comes out of the oven that makes the first bite so amazing. Sparkill's steaks are cooked perfectly, but does not compare to Keens in terms of flavor. If you don't want the hassle of driving to the city, then Sparkill Steakhouse is a nice place to eat some decent meat. The crabcakes and French onion soup are tasty. The sides were also good. My significant other boss thinks the creme brule is a bit too firm for her tastes and needed more sweetness. The dining room looks nice and the people there are competent and professional. We ate during the slow hours so we were the only one there and we can't comment on the service during typical dinner hours. I would recommend this place if you live around the area and you are craving for some red meat.

Literally one of the best steak houses in the tri-state area ! We keep going back because we’ve never been given a reason not to . The food is delicious and prepared to perfection. The servers are beyond friendly , professional and genuinely nice people who make you feel at home . The restaurant is clean and just lovely .

I simply like their dishes. I always get awesome customer service there. The place is well kept and the staff members are always very friendly. Will come visit again.

I go to this nice place from time to time! This is my favorite restaurant to have a bite. I go to this spot frequently. The cooking is very tasty, the staff members are welcoming and the prices are affordable. I like eating in this restaurant for a rich supper.

The food and menu taste and look great. Had the burger, it was huge made from real steak. Flavor was amazing! Will try the steak next time!

Excellent service + great steak

Very disappointing. Over service to the point you feel disturbed.The food is very oily and without any special touch. The Steaks are extremely fat.Low quality and simply doesn’t worth the price.

Excellent steakhouse. A notch below some of the top NYC steakhouses in terms of taste, presentation, and overall quality. However, service, side dishes, appetizers, desserts, and steak quality are at a high level. Recommended for a fine Rockland County steakhouse experience.

To all residents nearby and people considering this establishment for an evening out - pass! This facility’s staff did not follow proper protocol and wear a mask or gloves when serving. When the party I was with mentioned this, they ignored and laughed it off. Disgusting do not go.

I had dinner at the Sparkill steakhouse Saturday evening . I had the oysters on a half shell and the Tuna .. that evening I became violently ill with food poisoning, I won’t get into the gory details and I had to miss work the next day and lose a days pay .. when people say you should not order seafood that’s ridiculous.. anything on the menu should be safe . I called the owner and outside of an apology that’s all I got .. As a former gourmet chef myself we always stood by our food .. a very disappointing experience! With all the great restaurants out there my advice choose another .

Eat here regularly. The steaks are the best! Sea Bass is amazing. Private rooms for groups too.

Was really impressed. Definitely the best I've had outside NYC. The pork belly was absolutely phenomenal.

Excellent service, excellent food

Fantastic steakhouse. I had the Dry Aged Bone-In ribeye, this was one of the best tasting, juiciest steaks I’ve ever had. The seasoning was on point and the steak was cooked to perfection. A little pricey but that’s typical of a top of the line steakhouse.

Beyond expectations. The service is as good as the food. The ambiance is out of this world. This is a great place for a high-end dinner. Awesome.

Very enjoyable! Blue Point oysters, T bone steak for two excellent, cooked beautifully. Malbec by the glass very good, perfect temperature. Nice ambiance. Wait staff very attentive without being over bearing. Carlos thank you, we will be back!
